 1.     Check into Hotel on THURSDAY JUNE 10th       --       Dinner at Hotel in reserved section of restaurant

  2.    FRIDAY JUNE 11th  --  By coach to 'Holy Trinity' Church/Community Center Rackheath.  Upon arrival a Welcome Address by the Chairman of the Rackheath Parish Council.  Re-board coach for a 30 minutes Church Service at 'All Saints Church' Salhouse.  By Coach to Rackheath 'Green Man' Pub for LUNCH (YOU PAY FOR YOUR OWN LUNCH).  Visit accessible remaining sites on former airfield at Rackheath.  Dinner at the Hotel.

3.      SATURDAY JUNE 12th -- By Coach to arrive at the RAF RADAR MUSEUM for a guided 2 hour tour commencing at 10.00am. Planned arrival back at Hotel by 1.00 pm.  (YOU HAVE LUNCH WHEREVER YOU CHOOSE AND COST IS ON YOU) The afternoon free to do as you wish but ideal to visit The Second Air Division Memorial Library at The Forum, Norwich and the adjoining 800 years old Market Stall site and also the nearby very old Guildhall.  Back to the Hotel ready to board the Coach for a 5.30pm departure to meet 'The Kirby Kids' at Kirby Bedon and where we should have a representative from the Press and also representation from the BBC TV Company.  Cold evening buffet provided.  Return and arrive at Hotel at about 9.00pm

4.      SUNDAY JUNE 13th -- The morning is free to do as you wish, attend the service at the 900 years old Cathedral situated next to the Hotel, explore the very old and historical area, again close-by to the Hotel or whatever you so desire to do.  Having Lunch wherever you wish (how about the 700 years old 'oldest pub in Norwich - 'The Adam & Eve') about a 10 minutes walk from the Hotel but I could shuttle a few of you to the Pub using my car - again COST OF YOUR LUNCH IS ON YOU.  In the early afternoon we take a leisurely 5 minutes walk to Elm Hill Quay for a 3 hour guided/narrated cruise on the River Wensum under several very old road bridges (some 700 years old) in Norwich and out to the vicinity of the Broads.   Dinner at Hotel.

5.     MONDAY JUNE 14th -- Board the Coach at about 9.30am for a drive to Seething and view the Control Tower restored to its 'original condition' by enthusiasts on the former WW2 airfield where the 445th Bombardment Group (B-24s) was based in 1944/45 and now used as a very interesting and exciting Aviation Museum containing a vast array of interesting items.  Then depart for Barsham to view the 'Stalie Reid - Crew #88' Memorial built solely by enthusiasts who not only built it but also arranged fund raising meetings to cover cost of the materials.  A cold buffet lunch to be provided in the adjoining Village Hall.  After lunch re-board the coach for onward travel to the really very very interesting and quite large Norfolk and Suffolk Aviation Museum at Flixton and spend quite some time there as very much to see.  Dinner at the Hotel.

6.    TUESDAY JUNE 15th  --  Leave the Hotel at 9.00am by Coach for SHERINGHAM via CROMER. View some magnificent scenes as you approach Cromer.  Onto to Sheringham where we board one of the North Norfolk Railways steam loco hauled trains for a 30 minutes ride along the coastline with some spectacular views of the North Sea before heading inland.  Eventually de-train at Holt Railway Station  where our Coach will be awaiting our arrival.  Re-board the Coach for a reasonably short 30 minutes ride to THURSFORD where we will spend the afternoon at viewing many items of the late George Cushion's Collection.  A wonderful Museum all under one roof and which houses 'The Largest Collection of Showman's Steam Engines In The World', several very large Mechanical Organs that once were playing in Amsterdam and Brussels, numerous other interesting pieces of steam driven machinery, two very attractive, beautifully restored and musical pieces of equipment that were once upon a time used by travelling fair-ground shows - a large 'Carousel' and also again large 'Gallopers' which you are able to take a ride on for free if you so wish. But the highlight of the Collection is the former Cinema 'Wurlitzer' Organ that is played for two 30 minute sessions during the afternoon by Robert Wolfe - the way he plays that 'Wurlitzer' is really beyond words - he is SUPERB - a real Genius.  I have spoken to him and he would be interested in playing some American numbers.   LUNCH AT THE MUSEUM AND AGAIN COST IS ON YOU.

7.    WEDNESDAY JUNE 16th --  Unfortunately today is our final tour.  But this is a tour that you will always remember. We board the Coach at about 9.30am  for REYMERSTON to visit former Royal Air Force Wing Commander Ken Wallis at Reymerston Hall.  There you will view the fabulous collection of min Auto-Gyros that he has designed and built over the years, single seaters, twin seaters, twin engine jobs with twin props, closed cockpits and open cockpit jobs.  For the film buffs you will be able to view the 'Little Nellie' that Ken Wallis flew for several hours for the few minutes of film slotted into one of the 'OO7' James Bond Film 'You Only Live Twice'.  Apart from the Hangar housing several of the various types of W/Cdr. Wallis designed and built auto-gyros, you will also be able to view other interesting items in another of his museum buildings.  Plus the Wing Commander will also give a talk on his life not only as a Designer and Engineer but also about his service in the RAF during WW2 as a 'Wellington' bomber pilot but also the time he was in the U.S.A while still in the R.A.F in post war years.  When I spoke to him at the end of November '09 'Ken said, all being well and providing the weather is good, I will put on a flying display - a memorable opportunity to see a 94 year old pilot to still fly solo - in fact when I spoke to Ken on 27th November '09 he mentioned that he was flying on the previous day -NOT ONLY A REMARKABLE ENGINEER BUT A REALLY FABULOUS MAN.  After taking a 4 to 5 mile Coach ride we enter the small market town of Hingham where we will have LUNCH (AGAIN THE COST IS PAYABLE BY EACH ONE OF YOU).  After Lunch we will spend a short time in 'St. Andrews' Church, Hingham and take a look at various artifacts and historical papers relating to SAMUEL LINCOLN an Ancestor of President Abraham Lincoln, and who left Hingham to sail across the Atlantic Ocean to America and eventually settled in Massachusetts.  Banquet at Hotel on the final evening at Norwich.

Overall Cost of US $ 545.00 (or £330.00), PLUS cost to you for the 5 Lunches out,  PLUS your Hotel Room Charges - covers All Charges for the 7 Days Visit (including All Coach Travel, All Entrance Fees, Donations to Museum/Churches, Buffets at Barsham and Kirby Bedon, 5 Dinners at Hotel and Banquet at Hotel on final evening)

Hoping that the foregoing is attractive to you and if so please advise Bob Davis at 4908 Timberview, Huber Heights, Ohio 45424
tel: (937) - 237-8413  --  e-mail: whataboubob@woh.rr.com   ---   by or before 31st January 2010 as that is the date which we must have as a cut off-date.

May I suggest that to travel to Norwich you either fly via Amsterdam to Norwich Airport and take a taxi from the Airport to the Hotel or otherwise use the National Express Coach Service (book early on line for a low price fare ticket by entering 'National Express Coach Service UK') which runs frequent services from both Gatwick and Heathrow Airports to Norwich Bus Station and take a taxi from the Bus Station to the Maids Head Hotel (Taxi stand is outside the Travelodge Hotel at top end of Bus Station) - Personally I do not advise you to try and cross London by using the London Underground Railway System - but that is your choice.
