467TH BOMBARDMENT GROUP
2009 REUNION
This year the 467th Bombardment Group (H) Reunion will be in Savannah Georgia, from November 5 - 8, 2009. We had to move it back a little bit this year because of all the other reunions that are in Savannah during October, which made finding a hotel at a good price impossible.
We will be staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown. Reservation can be made at 1-912-652-9300. Please specify the Hilton Garden Inn Midtown and identify yourself as a member of the 467th Bomb Group to receive the reduced rate of $95 (with13% tax = $107.35). If you must cancel, do so 24 hours in advance to avoid a cancellation fee. Please make reservations by September 5, as on September 6 we will re-evaluate the number of rooms in the block to avoid the Bomb Group incurring a penalty for not filling the required number. Consequently, rooms may not be available at the reduced rate after September 5. Please mark this on your calendar.
For those of you that are driving, the hotel is located at 5711 Abercorn Street, Savannah Georgia 31405. The best way to get directions from your home to there is to use one of the map programs, www.maps.yahoo.com is one of the easiest.
For those of you that are arriving by air, unbelievably, Savannah has no type of airport shuttle. Typically, there are many available taxis by baggage claim. Please tell whomever you choose that you need to go to the Hilton Garden Inn, Midtown. Remember to say Midtown, as there are other Hilton Garden Inns in Savannah.

Thursday, November 5 - Welcome Reception 7:30 - 9:30 pm
Friday, November 6:
7:00-9:00 am - Breakfast in Salon B/C (all meals will be in this room and included with convention cost)
9:00 am-10:00 pm - Hospitality Room Open.
10:00 am - Depart Hotel for the Mighty Eighth Museum. Arrive at museum at 10:30 am. (Tickets for museum included with convention cost)
12:00 pm - First group to buffet lunch in the cafe. 2nd group free time until lunch at 1:00 pm. (Lunch included with convention cost)
1:00 pm - 2nd group to buffet lunch in the cafe, 1st group free to enjoy museum.
2:00 pm - Everyone free to enjoy museum until 3:00 pm.
3:00 pm - Depart museum for hotel.
7:30-9:30 - Dinner at the hotel.
Saturday, November 7:
7:00-9:00 am - Breakfast in Salon B/C
9:00 am - Depart hotel for Old Town Trolley Tour. This is a tour with 15 different stops. You may get on and off as you like. If you get off, another Old Town Trolley will be by in approximately 20 minutes to pick you up and move on to the next spot. Enjoy lunch on your own - there are many restaurants to choose from! You can check out the tour by clicking on the following link www.trolleytours.com/savannah/civic-visitors-center.asp . You'll see green circles numbered 1 through 15 about halfway down the page. Click on each one to see what attractions are at that particular stop. (Trolley tickets are included in the convention cost)
9:00 am-10:00 pm - Hospitality Room Open.
1:00 pm - Trolley returns to the hotel for anyone who wishes to go back.
4:30 pm - Last Trolley to the hotel departs. You must be on this trolley, there are no others to hotel so a cab will have to be used.
7:00-11:00 pm - Dinner/Dance. Cash Bar 7:00-11:00 pm. Dinner at 8:00 pm.
Sunday, November 8:
7:00-9:00 am - Breakfast in Salon B/C.
10:00-11:00 am - Business meetings in hospitality room or free time.
12:00-10:00 pm - Hospitality Room Open.
11:00-1:00 pm - Lunch at the hotel unless you are out on your own.
7:00-11:00 pm - Banquet. CASH BAR 7:00 - 11:00 pm. Dinner at 8:00 pm.
Monday, November 9:
7:00-9:00 am - Breakfast in Salon B/C
